Torino held Atalanta to a 1-1 draw
On Saturday night, Torino held Atalanta to a 1-1 draw at home.
The tie was a significant blow to the home team's hopes of winning Serie A. With 47 points, Atalanta is now three points behind Inter Milan, who are in second place. But Inter Milan still has two games left, including a meeting against AC Milan on Sunday. Three more points separate Napoli, the Serie A leaders. On Sunday, they will play AS Roma.
After their top scorer missed his penalty-shot attempt, Atalanta's struggling Serie A title hopes dealt yet another blow on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Torino. Vanja Milinkovic-Savic of Torino, who has stopped all three of the penalties he has faced this season, knocked aside Italy attacker Retegui's feeble attempt from the penalty spot in the 74th minute. Additionally, Bologna defeated Como 2-0 in another Serie A game on Saturday night to move up to the top six in the league and increase their chances of qualifying for the Champions League for the second straight year.
