Brighton loses to Forest 7-0

Brighton was crushed 7-0 by third-place Nottingham Forest.

Forest delivers a blow at the City Ground. Forest’s thrilling performance swept Brighton away, bringing them level on points with the Gunners. After losing 5-0 to Bournemouth the previous weekend, Nuno Espirito Santo's team recovered admirably thanks to a hat-trick from Chris Wood. Following Lewis Dunk's own goal that opened the floodgates, Morgan Gibbs-White, Neco Williams, and Jota Silva also scored goals for Forest. Nuno Espirito Santo, the manager of Forest, stated, that the response was good after what happened last week.

With a six-point advantage over fifth-place Newcastle, who lost the lead to lose 2-1 at home to Fulham, the two-time European champions are on track to qualify for the Champions League. The Magpies took the lead at St. James' Park with two goals from Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz, but Fulham responded to move up to ninth place and within four points of the top six.
