Pakistan suffers injuries before facing Zimbabwe in the series finale
Abbas Afridi and Jahandad Khan have joined the squad, they will be in Bulawayo before Thursday's third ODI.
A few injury setbacks have hampered Pakistan's preparations for the pivotal third ODI in the finely matched three-match series against Zimbabwe. After suffering injuries during the team's Sunday practice, Pacers Shahnawaz Dahani and Ahmed Daniyal will miss the rest of the series. Shahnawaz was sidelined due to a left ankle ailment, while Ahmed had a hamstring injury. Both players will return to Pakistan once preliminary scans and clinical evaluations have verified their injuries, according to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Before the last ODI in Bulawayo, the visiting team will be joined by 21-year-old all-rounder Jahandad Khan and 23-year-old right-arm fast Abbas Afridi as substitutes. The duo were already included in the Pakistani squad for the next three-match Twenty20 International series in Zimbabwe and were supposed to join the squad before 1st December.
