The Thunder, who lead the Western Conference, and the Cavaliers, who lead the East Conference, now have identical 34-6 records. On January 8, the Cavaliers prevailed 129-122 in the first encounter. The Cavaliers suffered their worst defeat of the season at the hands of the Thunder in the rematch. Jalen Williams contributed 19 points and Lu Dort scored a season-high 22 points as Oklahoma City won its fourth consecutive game. Jarrett Allen contributed 13 points, while Darius Garland finished with 20 points and nine assists for Cleveland.
