Pakistan names a new spin bowling coach
The two-match Test match against West Indies is set to start in Multan on January 17.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed a former Test cricket player as the new spin bowling coach for the national side in a calculated attempt to strengthen their spin bowling department. This choice was made before the eagerly anticipated home Test series against the West Indies, which is scheduled to begin in Multan. Pakistan has hired Abdur Rehman, a former cricket player known for his deft left-arm spin, as its new spin bowling coach.
Rehman has evolved from a renowned athlete to a crucial coach on the national team. Rehman provides a plethora of experience and a profound grasp of the subtleties of spin bowling on Pakistani pitches, having taken 99 wickets in 22 Test matches. Although he has experience working with domestic teams and was a member of the coaching staff for the Pakistan women's cricket team, this appointment is his first foray into coaching at the national level.
