On Friday night, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 144-118 thanks to a season-high number of points from Victor Wembanyama, who finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

With 24 points from Keldon Johnson and 20 from Stephon Castle, San Antonio ended a two-game losing streak and won for the second time in seven games. Milwaukee's Damian Lillard scored 22 points. 21 was added by Khris Middleton. One day after being selected for his first All-Star Game as a Western Conference reserve, Wembanyama had a strong performance, going 9 for 20 from the field.  Wembanyama banked in a 34-foot 3-pointer that hit the backboard, bounced off the front of the rim, hit the backboard again and dropped in with 7:18 remaining in the third quarter.
