Manchester City finds a perfect Kyle Walker replacement
Walker is anticipated to depart City this month after telling Pep Guardiola that he would like to look into moving overseas.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola made headlines when he disclosed that Kyle Walker, the team's captain, had inquired about leaving the Etihad Stadium to play overseas. For the past year or so, Walker has been connected to a transfer away from City, and he was rumored to have been close to joining German powerhouse Bayern Munich. The England international full-back has been linked to Italian teams Inter Milan and AC Milan, while Saudi Pro League teams are reportedly interested as well.
Noussair Mazraoui of Manchester United would be the perfect substitute for City. Mazraoui only cost £17 million to sign from Bayern Munich in the summer, and his performance has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal season for United. Walker now sees his future elsewhere, so it appears that City lost out on a cost-effective alternative given how well the 27-year-old has adjusted to life in the Premier League.
