A strong week for Bayern Munich came to a painful conclusion on Saturday as they lost 3-2 to VfL Bochum. It was Bayern Munich's first Bundesliga home loss of the year. Joao Palhinha was sent off for a studs-up challenge in the 43rd minute, which hampered the Bavarian team in the match. With a strong start, Bayern pinned Bochum in their half. In the 14th minute, Raphael Guerreiro scored the first goal. In the 28th minute, Guerreiro took full advantage of the situation and increased Die Roten's lead. Hiroki Ito and Thomas Muller were involved in that fantastic team goal as well. 

Bochum managed to tie the score just as it appeared like Bayern would win easily. Jakov Medic showed great awareness to pounce on a second ball and drill the ball in the net past a helpless Jonas Urbig. They soon levelled the score, and in the 71st minute, they struck the hammer blow. Matus Bero had a great opportunity in the box after a brilliant team play, and he handed all three points to the team easily.
