Arsenal is reportedly interested in Wesley Franca, according to a report from the Brazilian publication RTI Esporte. As the summer transfer window approaches, the Gunners are searching the market for a right-back. The North London team has made the Flamengo prospect their goal, and the Brazilian team is asking for almost €35 million to let go of the 21-year-old. Over the past several years, Wesley Franca has emerged as one of his country's top promising defensive talents. The South American full-back, who is originally from Acailandia, spent his early years in Brazil. He began his childhood career with Atletico Tubarao before graduating from Flamengo's academy.

The 21-year-old broke into the first-team squad at Flamengo towards the end of 2021. However, the youngster had to wait until the 2023 season to become a regular for the Rubro-Negro. The player has turned out over 100 times thus far for Flamengo while chipping in with two goals and four assists.
