The Indiana Pacers defeated the Detroit Pistons 111-100
Aaron Nesmith (left ankle sprain) returned after missing 2 1/2 months and Haliburton (groin) was back after sitting out Indiana’s last game.
The Indiana Pacers defeated the Detroit Pistons 111-100 on Thursday night thanks to 28 points from Myles Turner and 26 from Pascal Siakam. While his teammates shot 5 of 19 from 3-point range, Turner was 8 of 11. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers to their seventh victory in eight games with 17 points and eight assists.
Cade Cunningham ended with 20 points and nine assists despite shooting 7 for 21 (1 for 7 on 3-pointers), while Tim Hardaway Jr. finished with 25 points. Detroit has won ten of twelve games. Despite committing 19 turnovers, the Pacers missed 10 of their first 12 attempts in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Pistons to close the gap to 96-90 with 5:38 remaining. Detroit, though, came up empty on its next six possessions as Indiana moved the lead back to 12 points. The Pistons shot 2 for 17 on 3-pointers in the second half.
