Shubman Gill will be taking a break from Bangladesh T20I series

Prior to the New Zealand test series, India's vice captain Shubman Gill will be rested.

As part of the BCCI's workload management plan, India's vice captain, Shubman Gill, is scheduled to take a break before the forthcoming three-match Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh, which kicks off on October 7. Along with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, Gill is an essential member of India's top order and bats third in Test matches. He is anticipated to play in each of the season's ten Test matches.

Gill is not the only important player getting a break ahead of the three-Test series against New Zealand. The first two Test matches of India's international season are against Bangladesh, with the first match scheduled for Chennai on September 19 and the second in Kanpur on September 27. The workload management guideline also stipulates that Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, two quick bowlers, would be taking a break as well. Rishabh Pant's participation is still up in the air.
