Shaheen Shah Afridi regains the top spot in ODI Bowlers rankings
Babar Azam rises to the top of the ODI batter rankings.
Shaheen Afridi, the top fast bowler for Pakistan, has taken back the top spot in the ICC Men's ODI Bowler Rankings, which he first occupied at the Cricket World Cup in India last year. Afridi was able to reclaim the top rank because of his recent performance in Pakistan's successful series against Australia when he took eight wickets in three games at a remarkable average of 12.62. With Afghanistan's Rashid Khan holding onto his second-place rating and South Africa's spinner Keshav Maharaj dropping to third, Afridi's ascent is part of a ranking shuffle.
Pakistan is the only team with the top-ranked player in both ODI bowling and batting thanks to Afridi's domination on the field and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam's top rating in the ODI batting rankings. Babar is the top hitter in the rankings after scoring 80 runs against Australia with just one dismissal.
