Real Madrid and Barcelona are looking to strengthen their backline and could face competition from Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Nottingham Forest defender Murillo
The most recent teams to enter the competition for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo's services are Real Madrid and Barcelona.
In his brief career, the Brazilian star has already been courted by several Premier League teams and is presently playing for his senior national team for the first time. In August 2023, the 22-year-old moved from Corinthians to Nottingham Forest in a transaction that may total up to £12.5 million. Chelsea showed interest in the defender during the summer, while Manchester City reportedly contemplated a deal at the time. As Virgil van Dijk's contract expires, Liverpool is the most recent English team to be said to be interested in securing their backline for the future. Gary Lineker provided a tidbit on the Rest of Football, seemingly confirming Alan Shearer's acceptance of the Reds' evaluation of Murillo. "I understand they're after Murillo from [Nottingham] Forest," remarked Lineker.
