RC Strasbourg Alsace secured their fourth consecutive victory
Toulouse FC saw a late leveller ruled out as RC Strasbourg Alsace secured their fourth consecutive victory in all competitions (1-2) thanks to a first-half brace from Emanuel Emegha.
Strasbourg grabbed the lead after a huge mistake by Guillaume Restes, even though they had the better start to the match, with Charlie Creswell's header going just inches wide in the opening exchanges. Emegha was able to sneak in and tap into the empty net after the France youth international stumbled just as he was going out of his box to collect a routing back-pass.
Le TéFéCé remained unfazed and dominated the game for significant portions of it. Ismael Doukouré, who was recuperating, made a last-ditch block to deny Zakaria Aboukhlal after he had twice been within inches of winning. Toulouse then gave up against the flow of play once more. Although Emegha again provided the straightforward tap-in, Strasbourg was solely responsible for this goal, in contrast to the previous goal, which was the result of a Toulouse mistake.
