Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points and 12 rebounds in just 25 minutes, as the Knicks dominated from the outset, scoring 40 points in the first quarter and 36 in the third to build a 109-75 lead.
The Knicks shot an impressive 20-for-40 from beyond the arc, with Cam Payne contributing 17 points off the bench, including five 3-pointers. OG Anunoby added 16 points to the effort. New York achieved its highest point total of the season, narrowly missing its largest margin of victory. For Washington, Bub Carrington, Jonas Valanciunas, and Corey Kispert each scored 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop their slide.
