Alex Albon is the only other driver on the F1 grid to decisively outperform his teammate this season. Logan Sargeant has lost his seat at Williams, with Franco Colapinto taking over for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez's future at Red Bull is uncertain. Since Daniel Ricciardo's departure in 2018, Red Bull has struggled to find a consistent partner for Max Verstappen. 

Pierre Gasly lasted just six months, Albon stayed for 18, and Perez has been holding on for over a year. Ricciardo initially outperformed Verstappen in 2017, their first full season as teammates. However, in his final season, Verstappen dominated, beating Ricciardo in 15 qualifying sessions and races, and finishing nearly 80 points ahead. Red Bull's executive director, Helmut Marko, mentioned on the Inside Line F1 Podcast that only Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris could challenge Verstappen’s dominance.
