Liam Lawson has recently been linked to a potential mid-season move to Williams, with team principal James Vowles showing keen interest in the 22-year-old's ability to score points in the FW46. However, Red Bull remains hesitant to release Lawson, even on a temporary basis, due to the unpredictable driver lineup within their own team. 

While Christian Horner publicly supports Sergio Perez, it's well-known that Perez's seat is under threat. Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are both being closely evaluated as potential replacements. Ricciardo is widely seen as the frontrunner to take Perez's spot, given Horner's preference for the Australian, provided Tsunoda doesn't significantly outperform him. Despite Red Bull's reluctance to offer Lawson a full-time contract, they recognize his talent and want to prevent him from being poached by competitors, such as Audi, before 2025.
