The Dallas Mavericks defeated the undermanned Pelicans 132-91 in an NBA Cup game Tuesday night (Nov. 19) thanks to a game-high 26 points from Luka Doncic, 19 from Klay Thompson, and 18 from Kyrie Irving.

Doncic hit 10 of 16 overall and 3 of 8 from 3-point range on Sunday, missing his first game of the season because of a knee ailment. Halfway through the fourth quarter, he made two step-back 3-pointers to put Dallas ahead 111-75. Trey Murphy III led the Pelicans with a season-high 19 points despite playing only his fourth game of the season due to hamstring problems. Five of New Orleans' rotation players were out.  Zion Williamson, a two-time All-Star, is sidelined indefinitely due to a hamstring ailment and missed his sixth straight game. The Mavericks finished with their best point total of the season and the biggest victory margin after winning three in a row.
