After scoring nine goals in his first season in Serie A, Hojlund made an impression for Atalanta before joining United in August 2023. The attacker scored a decent 16 goals in all competitions in his first season at Old Trafford last year, while still being a raw talent.

The Danish international, though, has struggled to get going this season and is now having a poor run of goals. The 22-year-old has not scored in his past 16 Red Devils outings and has only two Premier League goals this season. Ruben Amorim’s side have looked devoid of quality in the final third, with Joshua Zirkzee – brought in from Bologna last summer – also failing to prove a regular source of goals. And according to talkSPORT, Napoli could be willing to take Hojlund off United although they will be seeking a cut-price deal for the striker who has yet to fulfil his potential.
