Udinese held Napoli to a 1-1 draw
Napoli drew a Serie A game for the second week running after their stalemate with Udinese on Sunday at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Udinese held Napoli to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, denying them the opportunity to go six points ahead at the top of Serie A. Now that Antonio Conte's team has drawn both of their games, Inter, in second position, will try to catch up to the leaders on Monday. Florian Thauvin, a visiting midfielder, cut inside and forced Alex Meret to beat the ball to safety in the game's first on-target attempt during an intriguing first quarter.
At the other end, however, Napoli reacted almost instantly, with Matteo Politano and Scott McTominay both coming close to opening the scoring. When McTominay sprang to the top and hammered a header inside the box to power Politano's corner past Razvan Sava in the 37th minute, the home team took the lead.
