Having failed to recruit a suitable replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January, Napoli is prepared to enter the transfer war to acquire Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma. According to Mediaset, they will have to compete, particularly against Bayern Munich, in the summer. He's already been contacted by the Bundesliga club to begin negotiating the agreement. In January, the winger had the option to join Al-Nassr, but he chose to remain in Europe. At the end of the season, he plans to go to a top team to participate in the Champions League.

Mitoma's glamorous performances over his two and a half seasons at Brighton have caught the interest of Napoli, Bayern Munich, and a few other teams.  In 95 games with them, he has scored 20 goals and provided 16 assists.
