The Argentine youngster's impending return to the San Siro was revealed by the current Serie A champions. Last summer, Valentin Carboni signed a season-long loan at Marseille. However, the 19-year-old sustained a season-ending injury after making just four appearances for Roberto De Zerbi's team.

In fact, during Argentina's international break, Carboni had a chronic knee injury. Carboni will rejoin Inter with immediate effect. But his recuperation is far from over. He may be included in Inter's Club World Cup squad before the end of the season by Simone Inzaghi. Carboni needs to get back to full fitness first, though.
