According to Fichajes, AC Milan have set their sights on Darwin Nunez as a key summer transfer target and are preparing a €60 million bid to test Liverpool’s resolve. However, the Reds might not be willing to part with their Uruguayan striker for that amount, as they previously rejected a £70 million offer from Al-Hilal in January, holding out for a fee closer to £85 million.
A summer deal could be more feasible, especially if Milan sell Rafael Leao, as Fichajes reports that funds from his potential departure could be used to sign Nunez as his replacement. Despite his high-profile €80 million move to Liverpool in 2022, the 25-year-old has struggled to cement a starting spot under both Jurgen Klopp and his successor, Arne Slot. While Nunez has played regularly under Slot, his return of six goals in 32 appearances falls short of expectations for one of Europe’s most expensive forwards.
