AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Santiago Gimenez
The Rossoneri have decided to replace their starting striker in the winter transfer window
AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez from Dutch club Feyenoord as a replacement for Spanish forward Álvaro Morata. Morata has departed the Rossoneri on a loan move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, with an option to buy. Milan, under the leadership of newly appointed head coach Sérgio Conceição, have secured the services of Gimenez for a reported fee of approximately €35 million, including add-ons.
The club confirmed the deal on Deadline Day, stating: "AC Milan is delighted to announce the permanent signing of Santiago Tomás Gimenez from Feyenoord Rotterdam. The Mexican striker has signed a contract that lasts until 30 June 2029.” Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 18, 2001, Gimenez developed his skills in the youth academy of Mexican club Cruz Azul. His prolific goal-scoring ability at Feyenoord caught Milan’s attention, making him their key attacking reinforcement.
