Harry Kane hobbles away as Dortmund and Bayern Munich rescue a draw
At the home of rivals Borussia Dortmund, Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich rescued a 1-1 draw with a header from Jamal Musiala in the 85th minute after Harry Kane hobbled out.
Jamal Musiala's header in the 85th minute saved a 1-1 draw for Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich at the home of rivals Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, despite Harry Kane limping off. Shortly after fellow countryman Jamie Gittens had given Dortmund the lead, England captain Kane pulled up with a left thigh problem after 33 minutes. Bayern had the advantage at the beginning of the match, but Dortmund steadied the ship and grabbed the lead in the 27th minute thanks to a fantastic individual goal by Gittens.
Despite this, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany expressed optimism that Kane's injury was "not too bad" given Tuesday's German Cup final-16 matchup with champions Leverkusen. When second-place Eintracht Frankfurt plays Heidenheim on Sunday, Bayern's seven-point lead may be reduced to four. Dortmund moved into fifth position, 10 points behind the leaders, after surpassing Freiburg, who defeated Borussia Moenchengladbach 3-1 on Saturday.
