Bayern Munich beats Freiburg 2-0, Kim Min-jae gets his third goal of the year
The victory on Saturday increased Bayern's advantage to six points.
In a 2-0 victory over Freiburg at the Europa-Park Stadion in Germany on Saturday, defender Kim Min-jae of Bayern Munich headed in his third goal of the 2024–25 campaign. Harry Kane opened the score in the 15th minute, the English forward's first league goal in open play since November of last year, and Kim doubled the advantage in the 54th minute. It was Kim's third goal of the season, following his first in the Bundesliga against Eintracht Frankfurt in October and his second in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain in November.
Kim has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, making him a consistent center-back choice. Bayern has given up the fewest goals in the Bundesliga (16 in 19 games) thanks in part to his presence. After 19 games, Bayern's 48 points is their best result in nine years. The club led by Kompany has won five straight Bundesliga games.
