PSG battles past Lens to top Ligue 1 table by ten points
Paris Saint-Germain enjoys a 2-1 victory over Lens in Ligue 1.
Gianluigi Donnarumma's astonishing saves and Bradley Barcola's skill led Paris Saint-Germain to a 2-1 victory over Lens in Ligue 1. Although the victory increased PSG's lead in the French rankings to ten points, it did nothing to conceal Luis Enrique's team's defensive shortcomings ahead of a pivotal Champions League encounter with Manchester City.
Despite suffering greatly in front of the enthusiastic fans at Stade Bollaert on Saturday, PSG managed to stay undefeated in Ligue 1. After playing bravely and having several opportunities, Lens ultimately gave up in the 86th minute when Barcola, who had earlier provided the assist that resulted in Fabian Ruiz's equalizer, scored the game-winning goal. Lens was still 19 points behind PSG in eighth place. In their last three games, PSG has given up four goals. They are in the 25th place with two games remaining in the Champions League, which means they could miss out on the knockout stage this season.
