Steph Curry leads the Warriors to another win against Mavericks 120-117
Steph Curry spoils Klay Thompson's comeback.
Stephen Curry scored the final 12 points for the Golden State Warriors to win against Dallas. Klay Thompson made his comeback in front of his old team. The Mavs were coming off of consecutive defeats and had a 5-5 start to the season, so they couldn't afford to lag behind the Western contenders at this early stage. Luka Doncic finished with 31 points, eight rebounds, and six assists despite being kept scoreless in the fourth quarter. Kyrie Irving scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to get things rolling, but he and Doncic combined for ten turnovers, which was a major factor in the Mavs' defeat.
Dereck Lively II returned with 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Daniel Gafford finished with 15 points, but they were not nearly good enough against Kevon Looney and Draymond Green. With 37 points, nine assists, and five three-pointers, Steph Curry topped all players.
