Paul Onuachu, a 30-year-old attacker for Southampton, is reportedly interested in joining Turkish team Goztepe during current transfer window. With only a few days remaining in the Turkish league transfer window, Goztepe, a recently promoted team, want to add the Saints center forward to their attacking lineup. Onuachu joined St. Mary's Stadium on the last day of the January transfer window in 2023 after leaving Belgian team Genk for a transfer fee of £18 million. 

Southampton was fighting relegation at the time, and previous manager Nathan Jones persuaded the team to sign the Nigerian striker. After scoring 16 goals for Genk in the first half of the 2022–2023 season, Onuachu was anticipated to repeat his outstanding goal-scoring performances in the Premier League. Onuachu, however, found it difficult to adjust to life in the Premier League and was unable to score in fourteen league games for Southampton before their relegation at the end of the campaign.
