Manchester United are still looking to bring in another addition down the left, on top of January signing Patrick Dorgu
Manchester United is still in the midst of rebuilding after a difficult Premier League season that has seen them sit 13th in the standings with nearly two-thirds of the season already completed. Since taking over for Erik ten Hag in November, Ruben Amorim has had a difficult time in the Old Trafford dugout; the team has already suffered 11 league losses this season.
Although Marcus Rashford joined Aston Villa until the end of the season when his connection with Amorim ended, and Antony, an £86 million 2022 signing, left for Real Betis on loan during the January transfer window, it is evident that there is still much work to be done in terms of team construction. Manchester United’s only major signing last month was the £30million acquisition of wing-back Patrick Dorgu, who joined from Serie A side Lecce, as the club looked to bring in a player that would fit Amorim’s favoured 3-4-2-1 formation.
