Markieff Morris is staying with the Dallas Mavericks for a third season, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic. The 35-year-old veteran forward and the Mavericks have agreed to terms, although specific details of the contract have not been disclosed. Morris' agent, Yony Noy, confirmed the deal. 

Morris has been valued for his leadership in the Mavericks' locker room, entering his 14th NBA season. Last year, he signed a fully guaranteed one-year, $3.19 million deal, and for the upcoming 2024-25 season, the NBA veteran minimum is $3.31 million for players with 10 or more years of experience. In the previous season, Morris averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game, appearing in 26 regular-season games and one postseason game.
