Man City has agreed to pay £29.4 million for a 19-year-old defender
Manchester City has reached an agreement in principle to sign him.
Vitor Reis, a 19-year-old defender from Palmeiras, has drawn attention from other teams but is now expected to join Pep Guardiola's team at a fixed cost of £29.4 million without bonuses. After Abdukodir Khusanov, who is scheduled to arrive in the UK to finalize a £33.5 million deal from Lens, Reis is now the second center-back expected to join the team this transfer window.
The 19-year-old is expected to join Pep Guardiola's team during the January transfer window after many teams, including Brighton in the Premier League, obtained information on him. Leila Pereira, president of Palmeiras, stated that a deal in principle had been agreed after City made a formal bid for the player on Monday. Recently Palmeiras has sold a number of players to Real Madrid and Chelsea for high prices in the last 18 months, notably Endrick to Real Madrid and Willian Estevao to Chelsea.
