Of his 21 points, 11 came from Anthony Davis in the fourth quarter. After receiving his fifth foul with 3:51 left in the third quarter, he returned with 6:48 remaining and made a few crucial baskets, including a 3-pointer with 4:51 left to give Los Angeles the victory 111-108.
James made 4 of 7 3-pointers and was 13 of 22 from the field. Memphis' three-game winning streak ended with 29 points from Jaren Jackson Jr. For the Lakers, rookies Rui Hachimura and Dalton Knecht both contributed 19 points. The Lakers began the fourth with a 10-2 surge but ended up down 96-91 after three quarters. Before Davis, who finished with 14 rebounds, made the 3-pointer, the lead would change hands three more times.
