Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas could reportedly shake up the hierarchy between the posts by overtaking Ivan Provedel.
Christos Mandas, the goalkeeper for Lazio, is said to have the ability to upset the status quo between the posts by surpassing Ivan Provedel. Since arriving in the nation's capital in the summer of 2022, the 30-year-old Italian has been a consistent starter. Though he hasn't yet made his Azzurri debut, his strong performances at the Stadio Olimpico have earned him many calls-ups for the national team.
However, the 22-year-old Greek player was largely unknown when he joined the team last season and was just supposed to be a backup. Nevertheless, Mandas up to the plate when Provedel incurred an injury in March, showing to be a trustworthy choice between the sticks during Igor Tudor’s short reign at the club. After recovering from his injury, Provedel has taken back the starting gloves, although he hasn't exactly been playing well in the early going this season—especially in his most recent match against Milan.
