Newcastle beat 3-0 Wolves

Newcastle were 12th in the table in early December but a club record-equalling ninth straight win in all competitions has catapulted them back into the top four for the first time since September.

With two more goals, Alexander Isak maintained his incredible streak and became the first player from Newcastle to score in eight straight Premier League games. He was also the fourth player in the division's history, after Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge, and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Although a hat-trick was out of the question, the 25-year-old had a significant role in Newcastle's third goal of the night. He displayed amazing poise by picking up Anthony Gordon after his first attempt was deflected back into his path. As the home team achieved their first league double against Wolves in 119 years, goalie Martin Dubravka celebrated his 36th birthday by making a spectacular last-minute save at the feet of Jorgen Strand Larsen, diverting the Norway striker's attempt into the post.
