AC Milan may rue Tomori’s transfer decision
A new report from Italy claims that AC Milan have been hurt financially by one player’s decision to reject Tottenham’s advances during the January transfer window.
Tottenham reportedly made a move for Fikayo Tomori in the closing days of the January transfer window, but the AC Milan player declined the opportunity to join the Lilywhites. Even though he has struggled for playing time for a large portion of the season, Tomori later said that he never gave joining Spurs or leaving the San Siro any thought.
Instead, Spurs signed Kevin Danso from Lens, but according to various sources in the last month, Tottenham will try to sign Tomori again in the summer. Tomori temporarily made his way into Milan's starting eleven during the January transfer window, but he has since dropped back in the rankings, according to a new report from Tuttomercatoweb. The defender hasn't played in the team's previous three Serie A matches, they note, and the Italian team believes the player ought to have joined Tottenham Hotspur in January.
