Heat beat the Jazz 97-92
Isaiah Collier hit a basket, but Jaquez created contact and got to the line with 1:19.
The Heat recovered from a bad start, took advantage of Utah's terrible shooting, received big plays late from Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez, and Bam Adebayo, and avoided the humiliating experience of losing to one of the poorest teams in the league for the second time in six days. After losing in double OT in Sacramento, Miami is currently 2-1 on this trip, having won back-to-back games against Golden State and Utah. Utah jumped out to a 14-7 lead early on by hammering the Heat, 10-2, on the boards. At that moment, it appeared as though this may be another demolition on the glass, similar to Saturday night's 136-100 thrashing of Miami by the Jazz, who dominated them 57-32 on the boards.
After a foiled Jazz possession, Adebayo hit another jumper, off a Jaquez pass, giving the Heat a four-point lead at the two-minute mark.
