Hamilton takes a clear stance on F1 retirement
As he begins his first Formula One season with Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton hopes to add an incredible eighth championship to his list of accomplishments.
If Lewis Hamilton wins another championship with Ferrari, he has stated that he does not want to retire from Formula One anytime soon. The British driver ended his wildly successful career with Mercedes at the conclusion of 2024 and joined Ferrari this year. With his record-tying seventh championship in 2020, Hamilton is aiming to become the first driver in Formula One history to win eight titles.
As it attempts to break its own title drought, Ferrari is predicted to be a strong contender at the head of the pack this year. Kimi Raikkonen's 2007 championship is still the last time the Italian team has won the drivers' table, while the team last won an F1 championship in 2008 when it won the constructors' standings. At 40, one of the primary concerns about Hamilton's future is how long he will continue to compete in Formula One.
