Wolverhampton Wanderers rekindled their interest in Yuri Alberto
Wolves have held talks over the possibility of signing a striker wanted by West Ham and Southampton.
According to reports, Wolverhampton Wanderers rekindled their interest in Yuri Alberto, a forward for Corinthians, during the January transfer window. They may try to re-examine the matter in the summer.
In recent years, Alberto, who previously made appearances for the senior Brazil national team, has been doing well in the Brazilian top division. In 29 Brazilian Serie A games in 2024, the center-forward scored 15 goals and provided five assists. In 10 Copa Sudamericana games, he added nine goals and two assists. Three goals in nine Campeonato Paulista games this year has also been a respectable start. However, it has been disclosed that a number of Premier League and European teams recently conducted conversations regarding Alberto's signing, thus he almost missed those games.
