Will Rohit Sharma return to domestic cricket?
India captain Rohit Sharma emphasised on the importance of domestic cricket and said that it mattered more than the IPL
The captain of the Indian cricket team emphasized the value of playing cricket at home after the team's defeat in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Many of the team's stars are anticipated to compete in domestic events that are slated to take place in between the team's 42-day sabbatical from international cricket.
According to Rohit Sharma, the national team's players are chosen mostly through domestic cricket competitions like the Ranji Trophy and others. Speaking at the press conference held following the third ODI between India and Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma noted that the Indian squad had been able to assemble a large roster of players from local cricket rather than the IPL. Before choosing a team for India, he said, the players' performances in the Ranji Trophy, one-day format, and Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament were taken into account.
