India claimed a convincing four-wicket victory in the second ODI

England were comprehensively beaten again in the second one-day international in Cuttack as India clinched the series with a match to spare.

England’s struggles on tour persisted as India claimed a convincing four-wicket victory in the second ODI, chasing down a target of 305 in Cuttack. Captain Rohit Sharma led the charge with a magnificent 119 off just 90 balls, setting the foundation for India's win. His innings, laced with exquisite stroke play, ended in the 30th over when he mistimed a full toss from Liam Livingstone. However, by that stage, India needed only 85 more runs to secure the win. Despite a few stumbles in the middle order, the hosts reached the target comfortably with 33 balls to spare.

For England, it was another missed opportunity. After openers Ben Duckett (65) and Phil Salt provided a strong start with an 81-run stand, the team failed to capitalize. While all of England’s top six batters crossed 25, none could convert their starts into a substantial score, with Joe Root top-scoring with 69.
