Milwaukee Bucks a 101-100 victory over Houston
Damian Lillard hit a driving layup with 3.9 seconds left to give the Milwaukee Bucks a 101-100 victory over Houston that snapped the Rockets’ five-game winning streak Monday night.
The Rockets' five-game winning run was ended Monday night when the Milwaukee Bucks defeated Houston 101-100 thanks to a driving layup made by Damian Lillard with 3.9 seconds remaining. After missing the previous three games due to the concussion protocol, Lillard scored eighteen points.
Early in the fourth quarter, the Rockets overcame a 14-point deficit from the third quarter to seize the lead, which they maintained until Lillard's game-winning shot. With 20 seconds remaining, Giannis Antetokounmpo stopped a shot by Alperen Sengun of Houston. Following Lillard's layup, Houston called a timeout. Fred VanVleet of Houston attempted to inbound the ball to Sengun after the Bucks fouled with two seconds remaining, but Sengun was unable to receive it cleanly beneath the hoop. As the horn sounded, VanVleet attempted to pass to Jabari Smith Jr. but was unsuccessful.
