FCInterNews, an Italian publication, claims this. According to them, the 18-year-old would probably cost at least €40 million. As they look to the future of their defence, Inter has been scouting South America.

The goal of the Nerazzurri is to bolster their backline with young players. They require long-term substitutes for ageing mainstays like Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi. Additionally, Inter has already acquired a South American defender. Tomas Palacios was acquired by the Nerazzurri last summer.  Marco Di Cesare, a defender for Racing Club, is reportedly being courted by Inter. However, according to FCIN, the Nerazzurri have an even more ambitious defensive aim in Brazil. One of Palmeiras' true standout players has been defender Vitor Reis, who is eighteen years old. The teenage defender's speed, technical skill, and poise have already drawn parallels to fellow countrymen Thiago Silva and Marquinhos.
