Formula One design legend Adrian Newey is set to propel Aston Martin to championship glory after being appointed as the managing technical partner at the team's Silverstone headquarters. The highly anticipated move follows the announcement in May that Newey, widely considered the greatest designer in F1 history, would leave Red Bull, where he enjoyed tremendous success.

Aston Martin F1 team owner Lawrence Stroll, who will welcome Newey in March 2025, praised the Briton’s unrivaled achievements in the sport. “There’s nobody who’s come close to winning as many world championships,” said Stroll, calling Newey a “gentleman, winner, and competitor” with the same passion to win. Newey, who will also take on the role of shareholder at Aston Martin, revealed that he received multiple offers from various teams. However, it was Stroll’s deep passion and vision for the team that convinced him to join forces and aim for future F1 dominance.
